Quintavious Grier (born 1986) popularly known as Unfoonk is an American-born singer, songwriter, and hip-hop artist with an expressive, heartfelt vocal style who began his career in late 2019.

Early Life and Career

Born as Quintavious Grier in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. He grew up in a household that clearly valued music, and this inspired his younger brother to establish a successful career as Young Thug in the 2010s and found the label YSL Records. When Unfoonk emerged from jail in October 2019, earlier than expected after being handed a life sentence in prison, he credited Young Thug for inspiring him to get his life back on track. Within a couple of months, he’d released a debut album, On the Way, and he went on to issue numerous singles on YSL in 2020. The pick of these was “MOB Ties,” a collaborative effort with 24Heavy and Slimelife Shawty, which started to turn heads. It was eventually featured on 11 Years No Tears, his sophomore album and first long-player for YSL. April 2021 brought a significant boost to his profile when he contributed to “Real” — along with five other tracks — to Slime Language 2, a Young Thug- and Gunna-curated compilation album which shot to number one in the U.S. Capitalizing on this exposure, he released the mixtape My Struggle in June, a set which featured guest appearances from FN DaDealer and Lil Duke.

He released his single DEA in March 2022.
