Timothy Tarpeh Weah (born February 22, 2000) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a winger for Serie A club Juventus and the United States national team.

Weah was born on February 22, 2000, in Brooklyn, New York, to Liberian George Weah (at the time a professional soccer player) and his Jamaican wife Clar. George Weah was elected as the 25th President of Liberia in 2018, after serving three years in the Senate of Liberia.
Weah has two older siblings, George Jr. and Tita. He spent his early life in Brooklyn, Valley Stream, New York, and Pembroke Pines, Florida. Weah is fluent in English and French and enjoys producing trap soul music. He is close friends with fellow soccer player Tyler Adams. His cousin, Kyle Duncan, is also a professional soccer player for New York Red Bulls in Major League Soccer. He is not related to Liberian-born soccer player Patrick Weah.
He was also named African Footballer of the Year in 1989, 1994, and 1995, and African Player of the Century in 1996.
Weah was described by FIFA as “the precursor of today’s multi-functional strikers” because of his acceleration, speed, and dribbling ability, in addition to his goalscoring and finishing ability.

Clar met George Weah, the then-soccer star, in the early 1990s while working as a customer service representative at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York. On June 26, 1993, they married.
Following her husband’s election as Liberia’s 25th President, Weah assumed the role of First Lady of the Republic of Liberia.
She set out to create programs and social projects that would assist orphans, street children, the elderly, women, and girls, with a focus on rural areas.
The Clar Hope Foundation was established in 2018 as a non-partisan initiative.
The foundation’s mission is to help underprivileged children, youth, and women.
