Caption:  Can’t believe it’s already been 2 years since I graduated, quit the overnight janitor job, stopped hooping, and decided to become a full time artist. I’ve never made excuses. My parents couldn’t pay for my education so I spent 10 years working my ass off and got full basketball scholarships at the D1 and D2 level. I had no ties or connections to anyone in entertainment so I built my platform from scratch by myself. If there’s anything you can learn from me it’s to stop waiting on other people to validate you and crown yourself. The only validation you need is from the man above and that is a common birth right. If you were born, you were chosen. Nobody cares how you feel, just keep working and be yourself, because it takes way to much energy to be someone you’re not.

Daniel Nwosu Jr. was born on the 22nd of March 1994 in St. John’s, Newfoundland. He has a Nigerian root, but his family moved to Ottawa, Ontario when he was very young, and later to Wichita, Kansas.
Prior to his getting famous, Dax was a big-time basketball player and was named Sunrise Christian Academy while in his senior season. He further played for Casper College before heading to the University of Montana, and finally transferring to Newman University, where he headed the Heartland Conference in scoring.
He worked as a part-time janitor while schooling at Newman University. In addition to this, he also enjoyed doing spoken-word poetry.
He quit doing the janitor job in 2018 to become a full-time singer. According to him, he worked while in school because his parents couldn’t pay for his education. He finally got a full basket scholarship at the D1 and D2 level.

Entertainment Career

Growing up wasn’t rosy for Dax as he had to work to foot some of his school bills. He also didn’t have any ties or connections in the entertainment industry, so he built his music platform from scratch.

Dax, however, rose to fame after releasing the official video of his song ‘Cash Me Outside‘ where he featured American rapper, Danielle Bregoli. The video, which was directed by Thad Swift has gotten more than 21 million views as of July 2020.
