Phoenix is a 2023 Indian Malayalam-language Horror film directed by Vishnu Bharathan in his directorial debut, written by Midhun Manuel Thomas and produced by Rinish KN. It stars Aju Varghese, Chandhunadh and Anoop Menon in the lead roles, alongside Bhagath Manuel, Abhirami Bose, Asha Aravind and directir Aji John.
The film was officially announced in April 2023. Principal photography commenced on 5 April 2023 in Mahe and wrapped up in June 2023. The music was composed by Sam C. S., while Alby handled the cinematography and Nithish KTR, the editing.
Summary
Phoenix tells the story of John and his family and their relocation to a far away island village with the hope of rebuilding their new life, but a new member joins them, and a series of horrifying events starts that becomes the aftermath of a love story, perhaps.
