Oruvattam Koodi (transl. Once Again) is a 2023 Indian Malayalam-language romantic drama film directed by Sabu James. The film stars Senthil Krishna, Srikant Murali and Amala Rose Dominic in lead roles.

The principal photography started on 15 October 2021 and was wrapped up on 10 December 2022. The film was released on 22 September 2023.

Synopsis

The film tells the story of the unexpected meeting of two doctors, Rhea and Ben, who were lovebirds in their teen days. Interestingly, Rhea notices a teenage village girl who seems to be special. Rhea’s husband, Johny, finds something fishy among the three, and that reveals a mystery.

Production

Sabu James, more popularly know as an editor and cinematographer helmed the film as well as co-produced it along with Paul Vargheese for the banner Three Bells International. The principal photography of the film started on 15 October 2021 at different locations of Munnar, Vagamon, Pullikkanam, Pala, Uzhavoor and Alappuzha. Assamese actress Urmila Mahanta[4] of Vazhakku Enn 18/9 fame, also joined the cast from second schedule. Newcomer Amala Rose Dominic was signed to play the lead role along with Manoj Nandam and Senthil Krishna. The entire filming process completed on 10 December 2022. The trailer of the film was released on 12 September 2023.
