Nancy Isime (born 17 December 1991) is a Nigerian actress, model and media personality of Edo origin.

Early Life and Career

Nancy Isime was born in Edo State. She studied for a course in Social Work for two years at the University of Lagos.

Nancy Isime lost her Mum at age 5 and was brought up solely by her Dad. She grew up in Lagos, where she had her primary and junior secondary education. Afterwards, she left for Benin, where she had her senior secondary education. She did a six-month basic course at the University of Port Harcourt and a Diploma in Social Work at the University of Lagos.

In 2009, Nancy Isime won the Miss Valentine International beauty pageant, and finished second in the Miss Telecoms Nigeria beauty contest. As a model she has worked for the likes of “House of Marie”, “Ade Bakere”, “Adebayo Jones”, “Zizi Cardow”, “Shakara Couture”, “Konga Online” and others. Isime has said of her modelling: “It is all about the ability to always try and to keep coming back until you get your big break. In Nigeria, modelling is not as it is in the western countries where you get your big break and that is it. Here, you can get your big break and still go back down, so it is very imperative that you get your big break and continue to work hard and continue to come back for more.” Host of The Voice Nigeria.

Isime began a career as an actress in the TV series Echoes in 2011..

Isime is also a television presenter, known for presenting gossip show The Squeeze, technology show What’s Hot and backstage segments of MTN Project Fame season 7. In 2016 she replaced Toke Makinwa as the presenter of the popular show Trending on HipTV. She co-hosted the 2019 edition of The Headies award with Reminisce she is also the presenter of the voice Nigeria 2021.

In an interview with TVC, Nancy sat down with the hosts of Wake Up Nigeria to clear up all the rumors and finally address her relationship status. This is what she said.

Why does it have to suffer? It doesn’t suffer with the men. The men get married and travel around the world and nothing suffers. So why is it that when a woman decides to be a career woman, it must suffer. (With relationships) I just manage it. At the moment I’m not in a relationship but I was in a relationship for the longest time, I’m talking about years and I managed it very well. When there’s time, we know how to give time. When I’m working, I’m working. When I’m off I know when to talk to the person, to spend time with the person. It’s all about balance.

Speaking on how she balances it all, Nancy confessed that indeed with trying to balance everything, some part of it might have to suffer and for her that is her social life. She said:

My social life is currently suffering because of how much I work. I don’t like to party, you don’t see me at parties. I’m always creating. I don’t have a lot of friends, I actually do not need a lot of friends but I’m cool with almost everybody in my industry.
