Taha Fahssi (born 3 August 1996) popularly known ElGrandeToto or Toto, is a Moroccan rapper. He is the most listened to Moroccan artist on Spotify, with more than 50 million streams for his album Caméléon in 92 countries.
Early Life and Career
Born August 3, 1996 in Casablanca, Morocco.
Having started his career in 2016, ElGrandeToto quickly met with great success, in particular with his song “Pablo” (2017) which succeeded in propelling him to the front of the Moroccan scene.
In 2018, he released his first project, an EP titled Ilicit.
In 2020, ElGrandeToto was the eighth most streamed Arab artist in the MENA region on Deezer, and his song “Hors Série” was the seventh most streamed song on the platform.
The same year, he won the title of “Best Hip-Hop / Rap Artist” at the 2020 African Entertainment Awards USA.
On March 5, 2021, he released his debut album titled Chameleon , which ranks in the top 10 worldwide album debuts on Spotify.
He is releasing Mikasa in March 2020, and Halla Halla in September 2020, as two extracts from his album Caméléon.
Spotify announces that ElGrandeToto tops the ranking of the most listened to streaming artists in Morocco.
At the beginning of 2021, he published Mghayer , a 3rd extract from his album Cameleon . The title managed to reach 4 million views on YouTube in less than 72 hours and 7 million in less than a week. It reaches the third place in YouTube music trends globally.
On March 5, 2021 , he released his first album, Caméléon , eagerly awaited by the public. The album includes 17 tracks, including 6 featuring, notably Thezz with Small X , Ailleurs with Lefa, La Paille with Farid Bang and Etranger with Damso.
The album met with great success, ranking 6th globally on Spotify a week after its release.
He was featured in CKay’s 2021 music video “Love Nwantiti”.
