Deborah Samuel Yakubu was a Nigerian student who became popular after her death, as a result of allegedly insulting Prophet Mohammed. Deborah Yakubu Samuel was lynched by some male Muslim students and burnt to death.

Deborah Samuel, a female student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, a 200-level Home Economics, was mauled, killed and burnt on Thursday by a mob of Muslim youths who accused her of blasphemy on social media against Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).

Deborah, who is said to be residing with her parents, her Father name Samuel Yakubu in Old Airport Road area of Sokoto metropolis, was accused of insulting Prophet Muhammad (SAW), during a hot argument with her colleagues in school.

Report reveal that she turned down a Muslim proposal to date her. That led to accusing her of insulting Prophet Muhammad.
