Stanley Nwabali (born 10 June 1996) is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Premier Soccer League club Chippa United and the Nigeria national team.

Early life and career

Stanley Bobo Nwabali was born on June 10, 1996, in Rivers State, Nigeria, into an Ogba Christian family. He grew up in Port Harcourt, where he started playing football as a striker before switching to the goalkeeper position. He is originally from Imo State, where his parents hail from.

In 2019, Nwabali joins Go Round FC, before later secure a move to Enyimba in 2020.

International career

Stanley Nwabali earn his first cap for the Nigerian national team in an international friendly against Mexico in US.

In December 2023, he was called up for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

He made his first competitive international appearances against Equatorial Guinea in a 1-1 draw in the 2023 African Cup Of Nations and later against Ivory Coast in a 1-0 win.

He was named Man of the Match in the semi-final encounter against South Africa, as he saved two penalties in a 4–2 victory during the shootouts following a 1–1 draw, which qualified his country to the final.
