Halima Abubakar (born 12 June 1985) is a Nigerian actress. In 2011, she won the Afro Hollywood Best Actress award. She began acting in 2001 when she played a minor role in Rejected. Her first lead role was in Gangster Paradise. She is also the CEO of a Modehouse Entertainment, a music label and entertainment management company.
Early Life and Career
Abubakar was born in Kano but is a descent of Kogi. She attended Ideal primary school in Kano then studied Sociology at Bayero University, Kano. In October 2018, Abubakar revealed that she was still a virgin.
Halima Abubakar was born on the 12th of June 1985 in Kano State, Nigeria. There are no details of who her parents are, but they are natives of Kogi state.
She is the third child in her family and had her childhood in the northern part of Nigeria. Halima Abubakar is a Nigerian by birth and celebrated her 36th birthday in June 2021.
Halima Abubakar had her primary education at Ideal primary school in Kano and her secondary school education, after which she proceeded to Bayero University, Kano, where she bagged a degree in sociology.
Halima Abubakar joined the Nigerian movie industry in 2001 and started attending auditions that same year.
After a while, she landed her first role, which was a minor cast in a movie titled “Rejected.” Despite the fact that it was a minor role, it paved the way for her to land her first major role in the movie “Gangster Paradise,” which brought her to the limelight.

Halima Abubakar, in 2017 had a major fibroid surgery in India. She was in a coma for three days in March 2018 and used to be a close friend of popular actress Tonto Dikeh.
Halima Abubakar has a man in her life but has chose to keep him away from the media, she has a daughter who was born in 2020.
