Esther Ebelechukwu Benyeogo (born 15 September 1997) popularly known as Esther Benyeogo is a Nigerian singer and songwriter best known for winning season 3 of The Voice Nigeria in 2021.
Early Life and Career
Esther Ebelechukwu Benyeogo was born on the 15th September 1997 in Delta State where she was raised. She is an indigene of Ika North Local Government Area in Delta State, Nigeria.
She is a graduate of English and Literature from the University of Benin
She is the last of six children. Her late father was a medical doctor while her mother is a retired school principal.
Esther discovered her singing gift at age 13 encouraged by her elder siblings who are also singers. Esther is not new to singing competitions. She was first runner-up in the Next Big Teen talent competition organized by Teens church of Christ Embassy in 2012.
At 19, she emerged winner in GOD’s Children’s Great Talent (GCGT) Season 7 on June 21, 2017, where she went home with a 250 million Naira management contract, 10 million Naira cash and a brand new Kia Rio.
She was featured on TY Bello’s spontaneous worship series ‘We Worship You’ in 2018. Esther released her first EP named “Carry Me ” in 2020.
She is a member of Pastor Oyakhilome’s Christ Embassy and very vocal about her love for God.
On July 24, 2021, Esther Benyeogo was announced as the winner of season 3 of The Voice Nigeria 2021, an International talent show.
